The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League is pleased to announce Cole Secord of the Pembina Valley Hawks as the CCM Hockey Player of the week for the week ending September 28.
In his first two games of the season for the Pembina Valley Hawks Cole Secord lead the way offensively, having two huge games against the Norman Northstars. In the season opener Cole scored a hat trick and added 4 assists capping off a 7 point night in leading the Hawks to a 10-1win. The next game Cole continued his great play by picking up another 2 goals while adding 4 more assists for 6 points in a Hawks 9-3 win. Hawks Coach Jeff Andrews has this to say about Cole. “Having Cole return this season gives us an additional offensive threat, he has come in this season and shown leadership and has been great in the dressing room for our young guys. I am really excited to see what Cole can accomplish in a full season for our club.” Cole is a 16-year-old Grade 11 student at Sanford Collegiate. Cole’s Western Hockey League rights are held by the Kamloops Blazers.
