The Manitoba U!8 AAA Hockey League is pleased to announce Parker Henderson of the Pembina Valley Hawks as the CCM Hockey Player of the Week, for the week ending October 26.
In three games this week Parker helped lead the Hawks to 3 wins. To kick off the week Parker chipped in a goal and an assist against the Winnipeg Wild in a 3-2 OT win. On Saturday, Parker lead the way for the Hawks with a 5 assist performance vs the Kenora Thistles and on Sunday he added another assist in a 5-4 SO win over the Southwest Cougars. This is what Head Coach Jeff Andrews has to say about Parker, “Parker has been solid for us so far this season. He plays in all situations and wears an “A” for our hockey team. As a veteran defenseman Parker will be counted on to continue to provide leadership and strong defensive play.” Parker is a Grade 12 student at Morden Collegiate, and his Manitoba Junior Hockey League rights are held by the Winkler Flyers.
