Parkland Goalie Piet Mireau is the season’s First Player of the Week!
The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League is pleased to announce goaltender Piet Mireau of the Parkland Rangers as the CCM Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending September 29. Piet back stopped the Ranger to two road wins this past weekend, stopping 61 0f 65 shots resulting in a .938 save percentage and a 2.00 goals against average. Further to those impressive numbers he also contributed with 2 assists. Piet is a 17 year old grade 12 student who hails from Altona, Mb. His Junior A rights are currently held by the Dauphin Kings. Piet has been a great leader in the room this year, being a role model for younger players especially for his first year goalie partner. His on ice communication skills have helped greatly in the d-zone, to go along with his outstanding play.
