The Manitoba U18 AAA hockey League is pleased to announce Reid Nicol of the Brandon Wheat Kings as the CCM Hockey Player Of The Week for the week ending November 30.
In two games this week, Reid scored 3 goals while adding 3 assists for 6 points. On Wednesday Reid potted 2 goals while adding 2 assists to lead Brandon to a win over the Pembina Valley Hawks 8-1. On Saturday night, Reid found the net once again while adding another assist to power the Wheat Kings to a 3-2 victory over the Interlake Lightning. Reid is 15 years old, currently in his grade 10 year attending Vincent Massey Highschool in Brandon. “Nics” currently sits 4th in the league for goals with 19 in just 12 games played. Playing in his second year with the team, Reid is heavily relied upon as one of Brandon’s top offensive threats. He was drafted in the 1st round – 5th overall – by the Everett Silvertips in the 2025 Western Hockey League draft.
