The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League sends a BIG congratulations to Denton Mateychuk (Eastman Selects) and Conor Geekie (Yellowhead Chiefs). The pair were named to Team Canada for the 2023-24 World Junior Championship.
Mateychuk, who hails from Dominion City, spent one year with the Eastman Selects (2019-2020). He racked up 13 goals and 17 assists in just 30 games.
Geekie also spent the 2019-2020 season in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League, playing for the Yellowhead Chiefs. The Strathclair native, notched 19 goals and added 19 assist in 30 games.
