The Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League is pleased to announce Tyler Free of the Winnipeg Bruins as the CCM Hockey Player of the Week, for the week ending December 1.
Tyler led the Bruins offensively in both the games during the week. On Wednesday November 27, Tyler scored once and had one assist in a hard fought 5-1 win over the surging Winnipeg Thrashers. He was chosen player of the game by his team. On Sunday, Tyler again was driving his team and on this day he scored 2 goals and had 1 assists, leading his Bruin team to a 5-2 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings. Tyler finished the week with 3 goals and 2 assists. Tyler is a 2007 born forward in his second year with the U18 AAA Bruins. He was drafted in 2023, 5th round, 64th overall of the MJHL draft to the Virden Oil Capitals. Tyler Free has the ability to impact hockey games each and every night.
